With spring time well and truly with us. Here’s some tips to reset your space to bring in some fresh new energy.
Here’s our 6 steps to help you allow spring into your space.
1. New Plants
Plants are bring such are an amazing expression of nature. Adding new plants inside or planting some outside is a great way to welcome in the spring season. New to plants try some low maintenance houseplants to start your journey. Already have plants? Take some time out to give them some attention, try repotting growing plants into bigger pots. Or maybe moving plants around into different spots in your space
De cluttering and organising your space is one the best ways to feel refreshed. It can take some time but it will be definitely worth it. A good spring clean can change a lot. Take some time out go though it shelf by shelf room by room. Yes! I mean go under the bed and sort out them boxes you’ve been hoarding for years. Get rid of those things you haven’t used for years. Go into all them hidden boxes and get it done. This is guaranteed to make your mind feel refreshed.
3. Rotate some of the art / pictures
Moving the pictures around in our space is a must every year. You don’t have to buy new stuff. Just moving it around or maybe finding new frames is a great way to bring a fresh look to different parts of your house. Putting a piece of art is a new room/ wall can totally create a different vibe for that space. 4. Light coloured Linen
Put away the heavy throw overs and fury cushions. Replace them with lighter fabrics such as cotton and linen. Make your space feel light and airy to allow the fresh springtime energy to come through. Using neutral colours can make the room feel bigger and brighter. Using beiges and whites layering them with other pastel colours to keep your space feeling fresh and free.
5. Rearrange your Furniture
Rearranging your stuff is a great way to change the energy in you space. Moving things from one side of the room to the other can be a great way to refresh your perspective.
A good way is to find new place for the biggest piece of furniture and build a new arrangement around that.
This can be very mentally refreshing. Nothing beats the feeling of waking up in a newly arranged space.
6. Cleanse your home
Even If you don’t do any of the above this one is a must.
Having a daily/weekly routine to cleanse your space is important as it allows space to create something new. It’s a great way to set new intentions for the new day, week, moon or quarter.
I cleanse using sage a few times a week. Depending on what part of the house. Focus on areas where people spend the most time are the most important as that’s where the most energy Is positive or negative. Take your time and make it a part of your routine.
